Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: Book Summary

He’s at Hogwarts… He’s at Hogwarts

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban follows Harry Potter, a young wizard, in his third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry ends another summer vacation at the Dursleys. Meanwhile, in the news, Harry hears about a murderer, Sirius Black, who has escaped from Azkaban, the most secure prison with more protection, which can hold any powerful wizard.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban begins amidst Harry’s thirteenth birthday when he receives gifts from Owl Post from his school friends. While Harry is living with the Dursleys, Aunt Marge comes to visit, and when his late parents are insulted by Marge, an angry Harry accidentally inflates her like a balloon. Harry packs up his stuff and leaves the house. A “night bus” brings Harry to the Leaky Cauldron in London, where Harry meets the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge.
